Goserelin
Goserelin ist ein synthetisches Analogon des natürlichen Luteinisierungshormon-Releasinghormons (LHRH), das zur Behandlung von Brust- und Prostatakrebs eingesetzt wird, indem es die Sekretion von Gonadotropinen aus der Hypophyse reduziert.
Goserelin : Übersicht
Anwendung
Das GnRH-Analogon Goserelin wird angewendet für die Behandlung von:
- fortgeschrittenem Prostatakarzinom, wenn eine endokrine Behandlung angezeigt ist.
- Mammakarzinom (prä- und perimenopausale Frauen), wenn eine endokrine Behandlung angezeigt ist.
Wirkmechanismus
Goserelin ist ein synthetisches Dekapeptid-Analogon von LHRH und wirkt als starker Hemmstoff der hypophysären Gonadotropinsekretion. In der Folge kommt es zu einer anhaltenden Unterdrückung des LH- und Serumtestosteronspiegels.
Kontraindikationen
Goserelin darf nicht angewendet werden:
- bei Überempfindlichkeit gegen den Wirkstoff
- bei Kindern
- während der Schwangerschaft und Stillzeit
